That's dickish but I knew that's what the NCAA was going to say.
The NCAA blocked former D2 power North Dakota St during the transition period from playing the FCS playoffs for no dam good reason either.

Regardless of whether or not the rule is "stupid", it was the rule before the season and Georgia Southern knew it going in.
Would be unfair to another team that qualified for a bowl per the rules but got left home
