If all you invest in him is a 4th rounder you can let him play like he did in college and not worry about it if he tears an ACL again. He's worth a gamble for a QB desperate team.
The problem is that I doubt a smart team is going to wind up taking him. He's going to wind up going to a Jacksonville or a Buffalo and he'll be doomed to fail from the start.
