According to USA Today, LSU is the only SEC school that doesn't receive some sort of subsidies. And the donation made to the University is the only one of its kind.

May be the right thing to do, but it is a financial hit that other ADs don't have to deal with.

as of june 2013, TAF had net capital assets in the amount of $142 million and the football team generated a net revenue of $48 million. 2013 TAF Audit

i'm not an accountant, so my apologies if my post misrepresents something. the point is that TAF is exceedingly wealthy and to suggest that it is a burden for them/the AD to donate to the university upon which they rely, that has had its funding cut mercilessly, then i'm not sure what can be done about your unrealistic expectations. our athletic department is one of the few revenue positive programs in the country, which is only possible through the agreements between LSU and TAF.
