so you are trying to tell me that people would actually not care about LSU being a top-tier research institution and having a top faculty for its students?

Money should absolutely be given to the University. Football programs should be treated like an investment as the school must fund the program to kickstart it. Bama does indeed have an advatage here, but that doesn't make it right. They are ok with it because they have no soul. (They have both a ginger and a midget so it's not even debatable)

Absolutely. Half the state is full of Walmart Tigers that couldnt name 5 academic programs at LSU without guessing.
