Another home entertainment question (probably basic)

Sorry if this a dumb question but I would appreciate any help.
I currently just have a sony sound bar/woofer combination in my living room and I'm happy with it, but would like to add speakers to my back porch/patio. My question is what kind of setup would I need to have the same audio in my outside speakers as whatever is playing through my sound bar (TV, playlist through Bluetooth, etc), while still having the ability turn off the patio audio if I'm not outside?
I assume I would need some kind of receiver as I don't think there are any speakers compatible with my sound bar, but would I still be able to play everything inside through my sound bar like I do now? I'm happy with the sound inside and don't need to add anything there.

Are you willing to run wires, or do you prefer wireless?
This is easily accomplished, on a basic level, with a multi-zone receiver. Just run the receiver's output into the soundbar and add speakers to the other zone(s) and you can turn them on/off.
If you can give some more info, namely the sources (where the sound comes from), it's quite possible that there is an equivalently easy/cheap way.

I would suggest a stereo network receiver and connect your sound bar directly to an analog output to the receiver(will need digital to analog converter). Run speaker wire from patio speakers to stereo receiver...done!
Your indoor setup will be Zone 2 and patio will be main...but should be easy to figure out.
Amazon has Onkyo TX-8050 on sale for $250. Nice app with onkyo too. Can control from phone.
