Actually I think it makes Nebraska look bad. Every Nebraska coach for the past 15 years or so has to deal with the ghost of Dr. Congressman Tom Osborne who won a few national championships. Frank Solich also had a winning record of 75% and actually won 50 games in a shorter amount of time than Devanney or Osborne. Then they fired him. Firing a guy because he is not Tom Osborne is ridiculous. If you win 75% of your games that puts you up there with with coaches like John McKay, Ara Parseghian and Joe Paterno. Not bad company.
