My thoughts on the games: Southern Lab wins a close one vs OCS due to some very solid talent. OCS keeps it close because of solid fundamentals. CBA wins by 14 over CHNI, but the score is something like 56-42. ULab dominates PBS, should be the most lopsided game of the day. JCCS and Jesuit duke it out and the game is decided on who made the least amount of errors, something Jesuit looks ready to take advantage of. Gotta have Jesuit as a slight favorite right now.

Curtis plows Jesuit.

Jesuit looked like it lost it's best corner and one of it's best overall players last night on the last offensive play for Rummel. It didn't look good. It looked like a knee injury the way he was trying to put pressure on it. I'm hoping I'm wrong, but I'm not sure if I saw enough depth in the secondary to replace him. If he doesn't go I'd expect more zone (Rummel gashed the zone late) and less man to man.
That being said, Jesuits playing with a hair up their arse I haven't seen before, and this will mean more to them than Curtis (decades of famine vs perennial powerhouse). I'm not knocking Curtis. If they play as clean as they did last night, they have a really good shot. There isn't a very wide margin for error though. Even less if they have to score 24+ to win. Their offense is more sophisticated than years past, and their QB is money on the quick throws. I'm not sure they can air it out successfully if they fall behind early though.
