Keep in mind, Jennings had a mediocre game against a poor defense. On the surface he played okay, but he still made the wrong calls on at least a third of the read option plays unless they are telling him to look at something different that all other coaches tell their qbs. Like it's been said several times, if he keeps taking those hits, he won't be the quarterback for long.

I don't agree. He averaged a team-high 8.5 ypc and had 119 yards rushing (the 4th highest ever for an LSU QB). He made very few incorrect reads (you can tell that just based on his average).

No matter how crappy aTm's D is, they didn't allow 100 yards to Dak Prescott, Nick Marshall or Bo Wallace and all those guys averaged just over 3 ypc on as many or more carries than Jennings had.

Jennings is not super fast, but his fakes were very good last night and he wasn't indecisive. He ran hard. Also, aTm wasn't expecting the read option that much and that's partly why it probably paid off to the extent that it did. Jennings did a very good job with that.

I really don't know if they were options at all. They may have been pseudo options designed for him to keep it every time. He said in interviews that there were a lot of designed runs, so I assume he was talking about the "options".
