1994 was a different world. Do you not remember how HIV/AIDS was viewed by most back then? The stigma was massive and Pedro did a lot to show young viewers that you didn't have to be scared of people with it. I really think that Pedro did more to remove much of that stigma than anyone other than Magic Johnson by simply living his life to the fullest on what is normally an escapist reality show.
