2 days old, but didn't see it.

quote:

On Tuesday, everyone is talking about racism, violence, justice — and what a ding-a-ling CNN's Don Lemon is.

As Ferguson erupted into anger, bullets and flames Monday night, Lemon ham-handedly drew tear gas into his own gas mask, whined for water and a device to contact his producers, and then made a culturally insensitive comment about protesters smoking pot. Tuesday Lemon was further blasted by critics online for imitating the “St. Louis accent” and for retreating to a “safe room” while other CNN reporters stayed out on the scene.

quote:

But it was his useless observation that he smelled drugs in the air that polarized critics. "Maybe a minute, two minutes ago we heard a gunshot and watched people scattering," Lemon said. "And we're watching people on the roofs of cars, on the tops of cars and, er,… Obviously there's a smell of marijuana here as well."

quote:

The latest dose of sour Lemon-aide came just after the anchor was raked over the coals for insinuating that one of Bill Cosby's alleged sexual assault victims should have bitten the comic instead of performing oral sex.

quote:

Another recent Lemon gem included suggesting that the missing Malaysian airliner, flight 370, might have disappeared into a black hole.

Reporting on the same shite for months can't be easy.

he also said his definition of an automatic weapon was one that could be fired in quick succession, regardless of the amount of trigger pulls.

I don't understand why he's being criticized for the marijuana comment?

Talking about poor journalism, has anyone done an in-depth story of the life of Michael Brown Jr? Something that gives us a better understanding of who he was? What influences he had in his life?

He spoke at my old ladies graduation at LSU. It was pretty heavy on the I am black and gay so LSU treated me like shite. Sort of awkward
quote:

I don't see why this is a big deal, obviously it would smell like weed there.

Knew he's from BR; had no idea he's gay (not that there's anything wrong with that) or that he'd been sexually abused as a child. And he's talked about both on air? ... Don't know how I missed that because normally I watch CNN, mainly out of habit, when I watch the "news." ... He fluctuated a lot during the Ferguson coverage between the 2 sides, which pissed me off more than anything. If a reporter/anchor can't stay objective as he should, he needs to at least pick a damn side & stick to it. The ones who flip flop & sway any way the wind blows lose credibility with me.
