I don't think you understand odds. If I flip a coin, it doesn't matter how many times in a row I get heads...the next flip always has a 50% chance to be heads.

Given two outcomes...there's always a 50% chance. No more...and no less.

I don't think you understood my point if that's what you got out of it.

Hiring a coach is not something that can be reduced to a coin flip...though let's be honest, is anyone comfortable making a change if the best you could hope for is 50%?

Looking at the history of successful programs that made a switch in coaches while they were doing well only to fall is kind of worth a look considering that's what is being suggested. When you do, there is just no reason to assume that LSU will do what most others have been unable to do, and that's go from good/great to great/better than great. Historically when programs make that move, most of them have needed an interim failure at coach in order to then make the hire they needed to go beyond they first fire. There are RARE exceptions...but then that's why they are called that.

LSU could break all trends and become the first program in the modern era and go from a guy that won like Saban to a guy that won like Miles to a guy that surpasses both of them. I mean...yeah, it's possible,

As a fan I wish that would happen...but anyone that thinks it's plug and play that we accomplish that is fricking high.
