They passed my place about 20 mins ago. They're heading uptown chanting "frick the police."

If the Classic is this weekend, then I hope that the dining establishments and quality hotels shut down. I remember one hotel that was almost destroyed because some guests decided to BBQ in their hotel room. I remember reading that they had a pit, coals, lighter fluid, etc. and BBQued in their room. I also remember that the hotel rooms were stripped of everything that was removable. Sheets, bedspreads, toilet paper, and pillows all of a sudden disappeared. If I still lived in NO, I would always avoid the downtown area. I'm 63 and I was a kid when you had to dress up to go shopping on Canal Street. I was raised in Lakeview.
