If starting against either Arkansas or A&M and playing poorly breaks him, then he probably won't be too great anyway.
I don't think that would BREAK him.
He may not light the world on fire against A&M or may not have against Arky, but he couldn't have done worse than AJ, and would have at least gained experience.
