Easily enough for a FA guard

If the position of need is for Guard, they'll almost certainly go after the players in those positions now for restructuring. By asking Morstead to restructure for a need on the offensive line is the age-old analogy, "Robbing Peter to pay Paul". Now, if they were going after a kicker with a longer FG range, then I would say asking Morstead to restructure wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility. Typically GMs look at salaries categorically, ie. you move money from Special Teams to pay for a need on Special teams.

The real issue is we are paying big money for sub-par play at the Guard position. Honestly they need to target a Guard in the draft and possibly grab a FA from somewhere. Also they need to get a real Oline coach. This transition for Ingalls is clearly not working out. As far as the fate of Evans and Grubbs, one of them should go and the better of the two should be kept at a reduced rate. They've looked like oversized babies on roller skates getting pushed around all season.

I honestly don't think we should keep either one of them at this point. We have a chance to have a very young, athletic, and cheap offensive line next year.

Well they impact each other. The Saints offense is very good and does not punt the ball much. I'd much rather save $1-4 million a year for an offensive/defensive weapon that 10 yards/game punting.

Coaches don't like the unknown though and there is always a risk when you change it up
