I think you are the only one who saw that, and I was in the thread before he fixed the link. Stop being so defensive, bro.

That's what I was thinking, but I didn't want to start throwing around acquisitions.

thanks, we'd hate for you to start taking over everyone's accounts as a way to grow your own account

Better watch out, man, or I just might have to start the mergers.

For example, Brown reaching under his shirt near the waste line to suggest that Brown might have been reaching for a weapon and the officer focusing on that seems like it might be contrived. I
Noticed that too but thought perhaps Brown was holding up his pants to run.
Some people wear pants that are too baggy and makes it hard to run. I don't know why they do that.

that or he was cradling his hand that had been shot
either way, if his hand is under his shirt reaching for his waist band, i could certainly understand officer wilson's concern

From the store video it looked like it, but yeah that pic looks 100% like that's what it was.
Another lesson: stop wearing that baggy arse shite and it won't look like you're going for a weapon when you're pulling them up before you rush a cop?

At that point lethal force was in my opinion already justified even if Brown wasn't reaching by his waist, under his shirt. Brown wrestling the gun away from Wilson seems like a very real threat to his life considering what had happened before.

i agree completely
not to mention officers are afforded more latitude in these situations than regular citizenry

Semantics and rhetoric are ways to convey the truth.
He's story, the more I read it, the more it becomes questionable.
He had a month to seek legal counsel and to essentially stand before a jury. The path his narrative takes is all too familiar to me and one that can play on even our subtlest biases

You keep saying this, yet you haven't acknowledged any of the scientific evidence and eyewitness testimonies.
I'll ask this again....Do you think that the Grand Jury based their decision on Wilson's testimony?

Maybe it's just me, but if someone is aggressively going for my weapon while attacking me, I'm pretty positive I assume he's trying to kill me. And if I'm fortunate enough to get free of him with my weapon, 100% chance he's getting shot, & probably killed. Legit self defense & justified. Case closed. Move on.

No but his banter conjured up old age racial stereotypes that none of you cared to notice or mention.

like being biased against people that go for a police officer's side arm?
certainly Michael Brown's DNA and blood being on that weapon means SOMETHING to you doesnt it?
i agree with you that credibility of witnesses is one of the things that jurors have the hardest time with. but when the witness's testimony matches up almost perfectly with forensic evidence that cannot be swayed by "semantics and rhetoric," then even the most staunch Michael Brown supporter (that actually cares about things like scientific findings) must see that there is reasonable doubt all over this case and it would be nigh impossible to convict Darren Wilson of a crime in front of a petit jury

Well... there is the matter of Wilson saying Brown was 20-30 feet from him and charged 10 feet back towards him before he shot when the body was found 150 feet away from the car. That's a pretty big discrepancy IMO.
Looking at the photo, either it wasn't nearly 150 feet or 150 isn't very far for a quick run.
