re: Is this the beginning of a race war?

I did my part to keep the peace this morning. I walked up to Miss Jackie, the black cleaning lady at the gym.
Me: "There's leaves all over this carpet. You need more than a vacuum, you need a rake."
She hit me on the shoulder... hard.
I did not respond thus defusing the possible race war. I think she likes me.
