She wasn't even raising her son. He was living with Grandma.
I will say that the Dad seems to be a better person than this woman, but he wasn't raising his son, either.

Definitely the impression I got, as well. He seemed calm and rational in calling for peace and order.
The mother, on the other hand, is a grandstander.
