I'm a lifelong NL fan. But, I think you are missing the point on some levels. Even if you enjoy the NL's 'natural' game during the regular season. Even if you have seen the NL level the playing field in terms of World Series won over the last ten-plus years..

I'm talking in terms of being able to sign the best hitters(especially if their bat is still there but may have been injured or always lacked athleticism or wheels), having quality bat depth allocated on a roster before the season's start in case of injury, being able to justify keeping a still great hitter albeit in possible Sabremetric decline and/or he's bogging down a young farm/bench talent at 1B or OF,etc..

It's seeming to become more of a factor in terms of Free Agency, and thus an edge.
