Has The Ohio State - Michigan Game Lost A Bit of Luster?

Ohio state has won 8/10 and that trend shows no sign of stopping.
Seems like the game used to have more national appeal?
Do southerners consider this game the greatest rivalry in CFB?

Yea.
0 interest in watching this.
Egg Bowl and Iron Bowl are way more interesting.
Even the Civil War. and FSU/Florida
And cant forget NC State/UNC

Doesn't matter what southerners consider it. It is the greatest rivalry in college sports. Just need Michigan to get it together again...and I think they will with the right hire.

Naa. Genuinely curious. I've lived in both regions and the attitudes toward the game are strikingly different

Yep.
I rather watch a HS Playoff game then that POS game.
It's a shame too. I used to look forward to that game every year.

Yeah, it sucks now. I liked the 2006 game, though.
The abc intro was badass.

Has lost a lot of luster. I'll only be watching if UM is miraculously in the game late.

Yes

Games of national relevance generally have national appeal

I personally do not and I'm a regional mutt.

Michigan's decline has killed it.
When I was younger (late 90s early 2000s) I always watched it. 2006 game was huge.
Just like the Iron Bowl in the 2000s. If Michigan returns to prominence it will be a big deal again.

Nope, I can forget that one.

yes, which is why UM needs to go all out to get Harbaugh. Meyer vs Harbaugh would instantly bring attention back to this great rivalry. 2 of the best coaches/bigges douches going at it would be awesome for CFB.

Way more back in the day..... The last relevant game was 2006 when they were #1 vs.# 2....

I don't think they ever did.

Would love to see Michigan to piss off urban and to have them try to carry Hoke off the field

based on what? something ESPN says?
I mean, yeah it absolutely used to be, i just dont find the fanfare surrounding it like in the past...
And for something to be considered "the greatest rivalry in sports" one would think there would need to be annual national interest in the game - which im not sure still exists.

Michigan's decline under Carr, Rich Rod, and fat boy has destroyed the most bitter rivalry in college football. Sad.
