Howard presence on D leads to league leading D. Davis leads to below league average D. Not really debatable. Also Howard is superior at defensive rebounding.

Yeh, Im sure Trevor Ariza vs whatever undersized trash we put out to guard the 3 has nothing to do with that.

If you're a GM and you have the choice of taking prime Dwight and current AD, who do you take?

For the record I think Howard is definitely a better defender than AD was last year and its too early to tell this year how legit AD's improvement is. If I had to pick based solely on defense, I take Howard for most teams. Obviously since we have Asik, I'll take Davis.

But acting like its a binary thing where Davis is 1 unit better on offense and Howard is 1 unit better on defense is ridiculous.
