I don't think you can really compare the two faiths - but I could be wrong.

exactly

Religion by definition is irrational. It demands irrational thought from its participants.

Science demands rational thought.
Without solid proof of its theories, AGW is stretching itself into religious territory.
But all the while it is Grubering us by telling us that it is still science.
