Ambient Light for movement is a bit tricky but it definitely can help adjust the lighting based on the amount of sunlight for instance. If you turned on the lights via the regular light switch the jump in room light can be used to trigger occupancy and you can also leverage the bluetooth beacon for occupancy (down to the specific person).

Glad you are excited! We wanted to build a flexible device for exactly the sort of purposes you have mentioned but kept the marketing simple and focused as we were concerned that it might be confusing.
