I ordered the flair. The puck alone is worth the $60 if the temp, humidity and occupancy/light sensor work well.

The owner of flair has stated all these sensors will be accessible in wink and available for robots.

so i'm seeing where the INTERMATIC timer has an achilles heel...see below

that is INSIDE the controller apparatus which is in turn INSIDE the waterproof case. note the little white 'zwave on' button on the first pic as it relates to the removed pcb in the second pic.

the problem is the zwave antenna is pinned down against the pcb and will be facing away from my house (pool breaker is outside stone wall for obvious reasons)

this dramatically reduces the 50-100 feet range most zwave antennas can handle.

one solution was to cut a hole in the apparatus and pull the antenna out (it would still be protected by the waterproof case) but that is a last ditch solution if i can't get it to talk to the hub.

i bought the leviton switch to help bolster my MESH network. in the image below i was only planning to add a screw-in zwave switch to the post light (yellow arrow) to try to bridge to the intermatic (red arrow) but by also installing a cheap leviton switch in the pool house directly behind the intermatic, i'm hoping the screw-in repeater will reach the leviton switch without difficulty, and the switch being 5 feet away from the intermatic, should then talk to it. this is insurance in case the screw-in doesn't reach because i can't have my pool pump non-operational once i install the switch.

another benefit is i can install a zwave door sensor in the pool house as well now and use that to detect if anyone is stealing my pool speaker
