"It's been that way" isn't a good excuse. Teams shouldn't lose HFA because another team they don't even play lost.
Technically under this system, it's best to be a 17-24 seed. One road upset against a beatable opponent and you are likely home the next two weeks against top 8 seeds.

I prrsonally like the system. If #32 upsets #1 he should be rewarded. We've been burned by traveling week 3 to a team seeded worse than us and losing. We weren't good enough to win it all. I
