1. Wapo is a house organ of the Dem party. We all know that.
2. Harry Reid blocked the bills to keep Obama from having to veto them...for SIX YEARS.
3. Those bills will go through in Jan. Should be fun to watch.

And that is why Obama's whining about the issue is pointless. Neither side is willing to compromise on issues, so they sit on bills passed in the other chamber. Of course he won't mention the fact that he is benefitting politically from Harry Reid's manipulation of Senate rules.
The Republicans will not have enough votes to pass cloture for most of the legislation that Harry Reid has stalled. But they will be forced to go on record and vote. That will make their positions on the legislation more of an issue in future elections. And any bills that the Senate manages to pass will still face veto by Obama. Thus, they will also be campaign fodder for the 2016 presidential candidates.

Good point. That's why Jan will be an interesting month.
