With apologies to Prince, is this The Bowl Formerly Known As The Gator Bowl?

if Tennessee is bowl eligible, I'd bet a lot they're in the Music City Bowl

Toilet Bowl vs. Alcorn State

The Independence Bowl gets the 10th place SEC team if eligible. There probably won't be 10 teams with 6 wins so Shreveport would be out.

Yes there will be. There's already 8, and there are 5 teams with 5 wins. South Carolina will get to 6 this week after they play South Alabama and Florida plays Eastern Kentucky. There will be 10 bowl eligible after this weekend.

Finally these CRAP scheduled games make sense to me, it is about being sure to be bowl eligible, what a strategy

I really hope we do not end up in Houston I will refuse to go
This.
And double this for the Chicken Bowl in Atlanta.
I hope we go to Memphis or Nashville, or that Belk thing (I've never heard of that before, but it would be different).

I hope so. Nashville is a great place to visit.

Your right, there should be 10 teams with 6 wins. In all reality there needs to be 12 6 win teams for Shreveport to get an SEC team since the gumps and moo state make the playoffs this year.

Tennessee will make 11 when they beat either Missouri or Vanderbilt. And don't be surprised if Arkansas beats Ole Miss or Missouri. It is very possible there are 12 bowl eligible SEC teams. The only 5 win team without much of a shot is Kentucky. They have to beat Louisville to get to 6 wins.

The fact that we're "hoping" for Nashville or Shreveport says a lot about the state of the program at this time.

eh, not really. if you're not going to a major bowl, might as well hope going to a bowl game that will be a good time and something different

The administrators of whatever bowl gets us are going to be borderline suicidal.
I'm inclined to agree. Watching LSU's offense is about as much fun as having a root canal.
That, combined with the fact that it's likely our fans will not travel well, is not an appealing scenario for any bowl.
