I like the way you used statistics and analyzed their play to come up with such a brilliant conclusion

Me too. Compelling and rich.

I still stick to my "We should have gotten Jordan Matthews". I was very happy we got Cooks, but I still wanted Matthews more just because of his college production, size, speed, and everything about him screamed #1 WR potential. Any other year, he would have been easily 1st round grade. Back to back years of 1300+ yards receiving with no one else on that Vandy team.
Currently, their production is about the same ~550 yards through 10 games.
The factor I'm considering is without Colston, we don't really have a wide receiver with size. Stills is 6'0 and Graham isn't a traditional receiver, but more of a mismatch piece against LBs/Safeties. I understand that we always had a speedy 'x' factor player (Bush, Sproles, and now Cooks), but we needed someone that had some size too. Matthews was that piece to me. Especially considering there were a handful of those "speedy" guys in the later rounds (Archer, Brown, DAT, etc) we could have double dipped.

Hopefully one of our guys on the PS figure it out. Seantavius Jones is 6'3" and Coleman is 6'6"

Like Cooks a lot, I think he's the best hands on the team. That said he's more of a 3rd rounder not a 1st, let alone a 1st and a 3rd. Could have had landry and Benjamin both. How bout john brown or moncrief, and d.Thomas woulda been a nice replacement for sproles. And Matthews looks like he could be a beast. All playmakers. All in all l think this years draft was one of the worst we've had.

It would have been nice to stay put where the team was & taken Kelvin Benjamin. With the 2nd round pick that was given up to move to get Cooks, maybe we get a shot at at Matthews or Landry. Potentially a golden opportunity to double dip at receiver was missed in a receiver heavy draft. We definitely could have used more then one upgrade at that position. Anyone know where our pick would have fallen at in terms of where Matthews & Landry were chosen?

We gave up a late 3rd to move up so they were long gone.

I gotcha. I thought it was a 2nd.

Cards took John Brown with that pick though and he's played well. Also Trai Turner went with the next pick and it'd be nice to have him in a "redshirt" season right now.

Would have been nice to have either one of them right now.
