There's no way you believe that this altered the outcome of the game. No way.

I doubt it really "jinxed" LSU, but I thought it was stupid to make the announcement.

Yeah, I don't know if a "jinx" is real, but it certainly made fans feel like jackazzes walking out of the stadium with the L. DUMB move by LSU officials (who I'm sure have seen the premature Bluegrass Miracle celebration by UK before).

At least we listened to him and did not run on the field prematurely like the Kentucky fans did.

Nobody was listening to him - they just heard him. If they wanted to go on the field, they would have been on the field.

Sure. It made LSU look extremely amateurish.

This was a common feeling in the stadium because most everyone knew the game wasn't over. Then we lost and Bama fans had one more thing to laugh about while hitting the exits.

Bunch of drama queens. An announcement telling people to stay off the field was about 8327572309th on the list of things on my mind walking out of stadium or now as it relates to that game.

We're LSU fans. It was about 8327572309th on my list as well, but it didn't need to be on the list at all. Seems like something Ole Miss would do....

Game officials ( Tom Ritter) requested that the announcement be made. I heard that Tom Ritter's company owns the vehicles that move all of Bama's equipment around, and of course, its common knowledge that his daughter is a tenured professor at Alabama.

Agreed. It was audible on TV and said the same thing out loud when I heard Borne.

Ole Miss would have found a way to commerate the win even though they lost.

I heard the announcement and my first reaction was... let's get the TD first! Geez! There's a lot of time on the clock.
