Why on earth would you ever get married again?
A prolonged moment of stupidity where a fiery redhead who steals my heart, seems like she'll be both a good stepmother to my children and a good mother to our two additional children. Who also ignites my passions and makes me a better man, becomes my muse and spurs me on to lofty heights where we die happy and in love.
Essentially a fantasy. So I'm not worried about the happenstance of such an occurrence.

I'm afraid you answered your own question here .
But seriously, having done this.......I married a woman who was a little older, had been married for 10 yrs, and had a son.
I was in my mid-20's way back when, in the mid-90's, and none of the people I knew were in similar situations. They were marrying their college girlfriends.
Nothing of my then-new situation was on my bucket list. But it happened. The term "cougar" was unheard of then, and she certainly was NOT one even by today's standards. And the woman was legit and had her own career, the relationship with the ex was civil, the kid was well-behaved. So that's 1/2 of the equation where I accept them. They also have to accept me. Being the stud that I am, well.....I'm not going to get into it.
But seriously, all of that mattered. Been married 18 yrs. And I can totally see how if any of the above isn't right for one or both parties, it's not gonna work.
Lots to think about for you re-partnering types....meaning you Fr33.

I will let you know if I ever divorce my wife. She is a fiery redhead that is also a breast surgeon.

This fiery redhead has found a boyfriend, but my checklist was based on things that were problematic in my marriage. So I think it's safe to say that it would be different for everyone. Anyway, here is mine.
-College Degree (Must)
- Not a cop
- likes dogs
- allows me to have a career of my choosing and doesn't want me to be his stay at home slave
- understands what a monogamous relationship is
- doesn't feel the need to control everything and everyone
- isn't jealous of people who have better lives and nicer things because they've actually worked hard for that and deserve success
- does not have violent reactions to even the slightest of inconvenience
- not a manipulator
- does not think he's better than everyone

Red on the head, fire in the bed? Make sure she she's clean shaven downstairs. I hate bush hair.
