ZBB should've been the closer. By far a better show than anyone else. He was awesome, just like every concert he plays. I'm not a huge fan, but he puts on a good show.
I listened to it earlier also. Call me crazy, but is everyone booing Bruce Springsteen every time it gets quiet?

I think they are saying Bruce, but I wouldn't know because I'm not a big fan.
And yeah, ZBB should have closed. And I haven't even seen the whole thing yet

I'll spoiler it for you by the little bits I saw while I was studying. James Hatfield from Metallica doesn't have a voice anymore and they suck. Also, there were tons of technical problems from mics falling over or even cutting out, to the volume being cranked up on either James or Kirk's guitar at the wrong time. Rihanna was stupid. Springsteen was God awful. There was some smoking hot British chick, but I didn't listen to her. Add in a bunch of Michelle and Barack (looks like he has AIDS) talking, and some spotlights on amputees, and that is the jist of it

they might be saying bruce but some could be booing him
they played "fortunate son" earlier... kind of a weird song choice (a vietnam protest song?) for a veterans day celebration show.

Nothing says meRica like some short fat guys bouncing around singing about fried chicken and some 60 year old Jewish dude singing anti war songs while a Kenya communist president pretends to give two shits about the military

Listened to it again this morning, and I definitely think ZBB should've closed. Way too good of a performance to stick in the middle
Fortunate Son was a douche mood, but sounded awesome. I doubt that even 5% of the people there knew about it being anti-war. Aren't the origins of the song in protest against rich people who didn't serve in Vietnam?

yeah, it is. some of the fox news people don't really get it though. I thought it was kind of a strange pick to play on the show as a whole.
I’m sort of torn about it because the song really is about the elites not getting their sons drafted and the rest of the country losing theirs
quote:
“I had been thinking about all this turmoil… It had been on my mind for some time how sons of certain senators escaped the draft. It was very upsetting to me, as a young man of draft age. In political conventions, many times, states will use the phrase “favorite son,” as they recognize their leader to make a nomination. The songwriter in me thought about this, and I changed the name to ‘Fortunate Son,’ a phrase to describe what we have all witnessed in our time… When the troops came home, Nixon turned his back on the soldiers. As my feelings about this got stronger and stronger, I knew I had to write about it.”
