You're not wrong in placing blame on Brees, but you're cherry picking. Brees threw some picks, but at the same time he led the team to a lead at the end of the game and he's done that in four of the five losses this year.

There is no way I'm letting Brees slide for his mistakes. But the defense has been the letdown. Drew Brees isn't throwing INT's in the final two minutes, he's moving the team down the field. The defense is inept in those situations and it's been occurring time and time again this year in the same situation time in and time out.

The damage is already done. If he hadn't thrown 10 points to the other team, then they couldve scored on that last play and we still win the game.

A football game is not 20 seconds. It is not one play or one drive. It is 60 minutes and it is made up of every play. Looking at the totality of the circumstances, the offense lost us that game.

And i am in agreement with you. I am not letting the defense slide for their mistake. It was a blown coverage.

And if you want to go with this argument:

Drew Brees isn't throwing INT's in the final two minutes,

The defense isnt letting them score in OT. They're stopping them and putting the offense on the field. The offense is the one that lost us that game in OT.

If you're going to cherry pick a play or two to rest the game on, I'm surprised no one brings up the fumble in our own territory to give San Fran the go ahead field goal win.
