i'm not defending his passing abilities as they are obviously sub par. but to just use passing stats as a measure of a QB is wrong. whether you understand it or not there are a number of things that dictate a QB's effectiveness. besides, we have had some pretty damn unforgivable drops and this game was the worse.
a QB has to manage the game and not get rattled. at times he has to improvise, esp with his feet. he has to take huge shots and get up and recover quickly. there are others.
this isn't xbox football. passing yards, per se, are just one of the variables of measuring a QB.
so, to be FAIR, esp to AJ and the coaching staff, I submit to you (and others) that THEY KNOW these stats are bad, THEY KNOW that we need a better passing game, THEY KNOW that being one dimensional is not going to win championships and THEY KNOW that many fans are unhappy.
THE FACTS are they are working on making this happen as best and fast as possible. there really IS NO SIMPLE SOLUTION (like in xbox). you can't just plug in another QB and expect to get the other things that AJ brings to the table plus better passing. changing one variable does not mean all of the other variables remain constant. it is difficult. it is not as easy as you make it.
I have actually noticed an improvement in AJ. he is more comfortable back there and has been throwing better short passes (more touch). he now runs more when he can't find a receiver.
if the dropped passes were caught there would be a different storyline here today. those 4 were damn KEY to this game.

same could be said of Amari Cooper dropping 2-3 critical 3rd down passes......
