i know they have began to invade Louisiana waters...
1) can i buy them anywhere in the BR area

I was in Houma a couple weeks ago. I bought some 10-15 right off the boats and asked about the prawns. They have never seen/caught any.

I'm at the Dulac shrimp houses nearly every week and have yet to see any, but I haven't asked. I'll see what up next week when I get down there

I had some recently. Pretty strong flavor. From my one experience, I'm not sure I'd put in a "fine" dish. Gumbo/stew, absolutely.
