quick question, I'm sure it's been discusse dbut
Did I miss what the accident was that caused Coop to no longer be a pilot? They showed a glimpse at the beginning during his dream but did they ever address that again?

He was flying a ship for NASA that he or some other super duper human from the future intentionally crashed so that he would quit NASA and become a farmer so that he could later be chosen by his future self to re-discover NASA so he could be rehired by NASA to pilot ships again.
