Might have something to do with Mett, Landry, and Beckham (all NFL starters) being on the team and taking defenders away from the running game. I mean probably not, but it's possible. Right?

He's a freshman averaging 5 yards a carry and is on pace for a 1000 yard season. Also, this:

Many of Hill's big runs came late in the game when the defenses knew that we weren't going to pass the ball. Hill was very special once he broke into the 2nd level. Safeties and cornerbacks couldn't tackle him in the open field. A combination of speed and balance. Many times the safeties could only get close enough to dive at his legs, and Hill just didn't go down. Did you see his big run yesterday? An NFL safety had the angle, and had Hill pinned on the sideline at about the 20 yard line. He still couldn't get Hill down.

I'm as big of a Fournette fan as there is on this board, but he doesn't compare to Hill as far as big play capability. Not yet, anyway.

Exactly...when the safeties are 5 yds behind the LB's and playing between the MLB & OLB, makes it kind of tuff to break a long one up the middle like JH33 did so many times...the want to spread the field should be at an all time high for CCC & CLM, but apparently it will not happen until the very, very back end of the season...
