LSU should be about 15th. Miss and Bama should be lower than they are.

You've got to be kidding. Mississippi State beat us every bit as badly at Auburn did. The final score did not reflect how one-sided it was.
Based on watching that game at Tiger Stadium, I told my cohorts that LSU would win the New Mexico State game and that would be it. I am very happy to say that I was wrong; but, I seen nothing since then that suggests to me that LSU deserves to play for a national championship this year.

Meh, if our defense played like they did against Ole Miss, that MSU game looks entirely different.

No, LSU's resume in 2011 was great. Just because OM's is "good enough" right now doesn't make it a great one. I don't understand what you aren't grasping about that.

When screening 10 employees that all have mediocre resumes, HR wouldn't proclaim the best of the bunch as great. The same applies here. I'm sorry you don't understand that simple logic .

Your simple logic and your analogy is terrible. HR would just keep looking for employees. The playoff wouldn't go forward with 3 teams. Ole Miss would be 1 of 4 teams in a playoff right now and viewed as great. I don't know how you don't understand that your terrible analogy is terrible.

Having played 2 ranked teams and being 1-1 in those games does not make your resume great. It may be better than most in a given year, but not great. That's not semantics, it's generally accepted as a fact.

No point in getting ruffled up about it. Teams that should be in the top 4 don't get beat by 34. That said, we can still have a great season, but I do not agree that Lsu looks like a top 10 team.

My analogy did exactly what it was supposed to. It showed that your logic of saying the best of a group of mediocre objects is great is ridiculous.
