Texas' problems have nothing to do with Charlie Strong who is a very good coach.

LSU recruits Texas very well and we need to continue to do so. Jamal Adams is one of our best recruits ever. I am worried about the 10K payout for players that Texas will begin to employ.

Malik's mom could probably use the extra money that Texas says they will begin paying their players for her travel expenses. We should follow suit with a 10K per player payout as well.

SO no blame goes to the head coach for a dogshit weekly performance by under performing players?

Damn, I want to be the CEO of your company. You'll pay me millions and never blame me for poor performance?

"very good coaches" get in over the heads all the time. Charlie Weis was a VERY VERY VERY good coach in the NFL and it didn't transform to ND football very well.

Strong and Texas are NOT a good match, IMO. They are getting worse and although having very solid rankings via recruiting, it isn't transfering to the field thru coaching.

the effect of this is going to be interesting in college football. on top of previous expenses you'd be talking about another 850k for player's walking around money. that's nothing to a big program but another nail in the financial coffin for midmajors and bcs programs that are already in the red
