We do need balance, but not in the sense of equalizing the number of rushing and pass attempts. The balance we need is equal ABILITY to run and pass. Obviously there will be some games when we'll want to run more (such as Ole Miss, who defends the pass very well but is less effective against the run) and others when we'll want to pass more (such as Miss. St. which is great against the run but suspect against the pass).
