They both rode the wave of incredibly hot hall of fame quarterbacks to the Lombardi trophy. No troll.

Sean Payton? Did you not see this organization before he got here?

And Drew Brees was a poor man's Chad Pennington until Payton got a hold of him.

Massive troll.
Sean Payton lead the entire NFL in wins since becoming a head coach of a horrific franchise.. Up until he got suspended.. For what 6 to 7 years straight.. More than any other coach in the ENTIRE nfl.. Do you understand that?
Yeah over-rated okay.. then in his first year back he takes them to a road playoff wildcard win.

I see where OP is coming from but it's obviously against all conventional wisdom

Fair enough. I still stand by McCarthy.

Only over the last 2 years have they both gone batshit
Overrated coaches don't usually win Super Bowls...especially with the New Orleans saints

Yah op isn't wrong by much these last couple of years if he's even wrong at all
Posted on 10/26/14 at 8:09 pm to RedRifle
No way they are more overrated than Mike Tomlin or George Seifert
Posted on 10/26/14 at 8:09 pm to craigbiggio
Tomlin is NOT overrated. I'd take him over Payton
