Refresh this old farts failing memory.
The White team was the O correct?
Was the Go team the D?
What were the Chinese Bandits?
The Go Team was the 2nd team Offense
The Chinese Bandits were the 2nd team Defense
The White Team was the 1st team Offense and Defense.
The White Team was where #20 Billy Cannon(see above picture) and Warren Rabb #12 the quarterback stopped Elmore on the goal line stand. I wasn't at the game but was giving out Trick or Treat candy on my parents front porch listening to the game on the radio. The LSU play by play announcer J.C. Polites(sp); went crazy when Cannon broke the 50 yard line heading for the end zone. You could hear the stadium erupting with excitement. I was 11 years old at the time. Have been and forever will be a TIGER fan. Billy Cannon was a National Hero to all who lived in Louisiana from that day forward.
