Christians have done a lot of terrible things, but the theme that keeps re-emerging is "civilizing" people. They want to conquer your land, teach you about Jesus and how to read and write so you can be awesome like them. That's basically how the Pope justified it for thousands of years.

Now in a modern sense, that's certainly condescending, oppressive, ethnocentric, racist, imperialist, whatever. All true. But the point is Christianity has never really lent itself to wholesale slaughter (very few exceptions) It doesn't make sense in Christianity.

However, if you are an atheist liberal member of the Intelligentsia, and you know what's best for society, then it's a lot easier to just kill them all and be done with it. Social engineering from atheist social Darwinists is the danger we face. That is what gets EVERYONE killed. And we see it time and time again.

But by all means, let's denigrate white American Christians for being human like everyone else on the globe throughout history, and also building the greatest civilizations. And then, deciding to be better THAN EVERYONE ELSE ON THE GLOBE and stop the madness and invite those oppressed people to live freely in their great civilizations. What a bunch of fricking assholes.

And you just took the counter-crazy position from Burt. That's an absurd view of history.

Do we see it time and time agian outside of the 20th century communist dictators?

Funny how the only argument that this board really has against atheists is the commie dictators. Thats poli boards go to strawman.
