re: Is it ok for your girlfriend to go to an Ex's family member funeral?

I think that she should have asked you how you feel about it before she made plans. She shouldn't put an ex's family before you. Sounds as if there are some issues here. Proceed with caution. As far as E-mails from her ex, unless there are children involved, this is totally unacceptable. She still has strong feelings for this man.

She still wants the D.... HIS D....
In all honesty, I'd have told her, "if you change plans with me to go there, you can stay there. Consider yourself single."
ETA: the emails... I have dealt with this before- Ignoring them is not good enough. Either, you (the GF) tells him to stop, or I will.

This is what I think. I will talk to her about it.

I told her this when she told me and I reminded her this yesterday.

I don't think so. I was invited to go to the funeral but due to the extremely short notice there was no way I could make it on time.

When did her family and his family become friends?

Read before you respond genius.....again, it's her grandmother, and the mother "just happens to be in the neighborhood" instead of being with family or in-laws who's relative just died.

if you trust her, then you really shouldn't even talk to her about it.
if you question her loyalty and feelings for you, then why are you even with her in the first place.

Then you should be pissed and she shouldn't even think of going. It's disrespectful of her and her family to remain friends. You are supposed to be the man in her life now. I wouldn't even argue with her if I were you. It seems to me she's made her choice. Go ahead and end it.

Alright, frick it! Now I'm pissed at your delusion.
You do know you can block emails, RIGHT? Tell me this whore hasn't also found a way to believe that feature doesn't work...at MINIMAL, you label it "junk" one time and you NEVER get another in your inbox.
You now are getting to the point where you deserve the pain heading your way buddy

She seems to be wanting attention and will get it wherever it is coming from.
By telling you about his emails she wants some drama from you.

You have limited info about a certain situation that happened this morning. That is it. Our relationship is fine. Pissed about plan changes more than anything. But I did expect many comments like this.

So what was the point of this thread?

Why would you be pissed? She changed her mind and went to a funeral.
To you the relationship is inconsequential.

Tell her she's free to go but you are going to go ahead and meet your family for the trip because you feel bad about changing plans on your family so abruptly. Tell her she is more than welcome to meet y'all after the funeral. See how she reacts.
