I worked with a guy once who told me he was an outcast in both the black community and the white community. I didn't really understand it at the time, especially since he wasn't particularly the "Carlton" type. I guess that's. What the poster above me is talking about.
I've said for years that, imo, black people seem to have much more pressure to conform to a certain m.o. than do white people. White people seem to have the "freedom" to be whatever they are, without having to fit a stereotype or rigid profile.
Just my opinion, but I actually think this has turned out to be a pretty good thread. I wish we could have more threads like this where people could just speak honestly, and have other posters do the same. I think we're all guilty of resorting to knee-jerk reactions at times, instead of just having an honest back and forth discussion.
EDIT - I temporarily forgot that this thread was on the MSB. Maybe that's why it has played out pretty well. On the PT, this thread may have ended up much differently

I mean I do okay. Most of my friends are females, dudes are the worst. I have a harem f white female friends, chicks are cool as frick about race, it's dudes.
But the educated black man, is the most shite on person in america. White people think he's either ghetto or an al shartpon lover lol black people think he's Mike Tirico. shite Mike Tirico doesn't even want to be black lol LINK /
You date a black girl she busts your balls for not being black enough and you date a white girl and everything calls your girl a mudshark and other shite. You can't win. I can understand why a lot of people who if they put their mind to it, could really do some shite, just say frick it, open up a 40oz and watch BET all day. Though that would never be me I like the person I am.
