I do agree the vegans are generally going to more health conscious overall. Studies do show less incidences of heart disease, diabetes, etc in cultures that consume a more plant based diet even in the same regions as meat eating cultures though.

Studies have also shown the that eating meat, espeically red meat high in fat, has lowered cholesterol essentially debunking the lypid hypothesis which is what all of the meat/cholesterol nonsense is based off of.
