Based coming from Humans?

You asked if evidence based hypothesis are more credible than faith, and I gave you the only answer there is to give to that question.

Just hypothesis.....

You say this as if science hasn't repeatedly and systematically removed the need for mysticism throughout human history. It has answered many question once believed unanswerable.
Past precedent shows that, given enough time, everything restrained by the physical laws of the universe will be revealed. It may be 500 thousands years from now, or maybe there is a species out there that already has figured it all out and is hopping around the universe at many times the speed of light.

Again, some lecture in no way means evidence.
I could point to a sermon and be as credible.

What happened in Egypt had nothing to do with Iraq. You either don't know your history, asurob, or else you're playing dumb in order to avoid acknowledging your boy Barack's abysmal failure at trying to prop up those Muslim Brotherhood thugs in Egypt.
I guess you thought Obama handled that correctly?

A hypothesis with no foundation or support is just a claim, remember?

And how did they come from nothing?
Good talk though. Enjoyed it much more than Ole Miss vs LSU.

No.
Many things. Perhaps even most things (no way to tell), but you cannot make that claim with any more certainty than a christian can claim there will be a rapture.

And if the pastor puts forth scientific research that suggests physical evidence for his claim, I'd listen to it.
That isn't what happens though, and I suspect you understand this.

Do you discount eye witnesses to Jesus or other miracles in the world then....
Ahh frick it.
I do wish there was a religion board here.

They probably crawled out of Elton John's arse TBH.

Unless he takes a leap of faith, no.

Discount? No
There is a reason that DNA evidence carries more weight than eyewitness testimony in court, however.

Do you have some scientific evidence for that?
Have a good night Klarvin.

It doesn't seem unreasonable to me to suggest that all things bound by science are possible to eventually be discovered using science.
IMO, if something cannot eventually be discovered by science than it must be something outside the physical constraints of the reality in which we live. God would fall into that category.

I do not believe the mysteries of human consciousness will ever be explained. If so, it could be predicted. It would ruin free will. It would undermine our whole existence and seems incompatible with our existence.
You fancy yourself an atheist, you're actually a nihilist

Didn't say it was unreasonable. I'm just saying that same reasoning can be applied to a christian claiming the rapture will occur using faith.

I believed meaning can be found in life, but it is all purely subjective. I am nihilistic in the sense that I don't believe there is any objective meaning or purpose behind our existence.
I don't lose sleep over it, though. I find plenty of meaning and happiness in life, despite the suspicion that in the grand scheme if things nothing I do in life has transcendent significance.

Which begs the question, why do only Humans on this earth have free will?
Seems odd for evolution to do that, no?
I swear, a Religion board would be the busiest on this site.
