The fact is, he's had trouble executing hand-offs to the correct side of the formation. And that might as well be a death-sentence on this team.
Also...
I'd blame him. What kind of self-righteous kid thinks he deserves to play, much less start, as a true freshman (QB)? How many other programs could he have gone to and started, or even played, as a true freshman? He's lucky to have taken any meaningful snaps not resulting from injury.
If he continues to grow, he certainly has a chance to start next year - and that's worth staying for.
