It will hurt like heck, but that ain't a weight bearing bone. Get a ground blind, I hunt with my kids in them and we wreck $#@! out of them. I'm sure you'll find a way, but for a fibula, I'd be out there in a few weeks, for sure.

Quick story for ya.. 3 yrs ago my buddy fell 20 ft from deerstand week before cmas. shattered leg.. after 7 months it still wasnt healing, it was first of august and still has infection. Dr said we have 2 options
1. Take bone graft, it has like 50% chance of taking, if it does it will be 10-12 months before you know and before your on your feet
2. amputate below knee, and you are on your feet "foot" in 3-4 weeks.

He took option 2 because dove season was 3 weeks away and he wasnt missn huntn season again. Was in the dove field sept 1 shootn dove with us and a month later got his prostetic, and no one can even tell he is missn one leg now.

You sound like Vince Lombardi.

Running back broke his leg in practice and Vince told him to get arse back out there.
He did and he told the guys in the huddle that Coach told him "it wasn't a load- bearing bone" .

OP, get well soon.
