Sure.
If the defense plays well, we win.

We have the same philosophy we have had for 10 years and we have beaten them many times

no Hondo......you should write down your philosophy, and send it to les/cam. I'm sure they will consider your ideas.

Why didn't the one last year work?
Oh yeah, those deep bombs turned into numerous INTs.

All of you realize that this is a veryddifferent Ole Miss team?

Yes, the "philosophy" doesn't need to be changed. They need to execute better and play-calling has been pretty bad at times for sure, but there is nothing wrong with wanting to run the ball to set up the pass and play strong defense.

Last week our strengths were UK weakness, and vice versa.
This week, Ole Miss has an outstanding rush defense and strong inside running game. Hope we try something different.

I wrote this to point out that OLE Miss leads the SEC in rush defense and we are 120 out of 128 schools in pass offense.

Right on the defense, wrong on the strong inside runnng game.

Yea, Ole Miss has a very weak run offense.

Well, Jeremy Hill was standing on the sidelines for much of the first two quarters because he fumbled on the first drive. Therefore, Ole Miss' safeties were not as concerned about Terrance Magee and played a little deeper than they would have against Jeremy Hill.
But even with that, I think the routes were open and at least two of the passes were simply underthrown.

Philosophy yes... Current run/pass ratio no.
Will have to throw the ball more plain and simple. And not bombs. Intermediate throws behind the stacked box we will face.

Unfortunately we don't do this. We run the ball, and run the ball, and run the ball, hoping that eventually the wall breaks. There is no real goal of setting up the pass. As stated earlier, we are once again in the bottom 10 of division one passing offenses.
This has been happening for all but one of the past 6 years. 5 different qb's in that time frame. This is not a qb issue, it's the head coach who sees know need in having an adequate passing game. I mean, hey, we can beat ULM 31-0 by doing this, so why change?

Ole Miss has not faced many teams with a pulse in the rushing attack.
The one time they did....surrendered 160+ to Bama.

Yes.
But I expect Jennings to have 200 + yards passing this upcoming weekend.

yes. there is nothing wrong with our offense philosophy.
until we can execute in our passing game it is what it is ie. we have to be run heavy.
we need time and maturity (experience) of the people that execute our passing game.
