It's an amazing record, but IMO hardest to break =/= most prestigious.
I actually think Bond's 7 MVPs or Clemens's 7 Cy Youngs is more prestigious than the all time TD or HR record, but I know I'm in the minority on that one

I completely agree. Although he was a dominant player, Dimaggio's record is not a symbol of dominance. It is a hot streak. Bond's career MVP's and Clemen's Cy Young's mark a career of dominance.
