It would be an encouraging development for this country, but I think it's a pipedream. I'd say 12% might be the most that Paul could get. Maybe 15%, but that's a long way from 1/3.

And it's just as ridiculous now as it was then.

If whoever the GOP nominee is could just get back to the demographics W. got in 2004, it would be quite an accomplishment.

Bush 2004:

11% AA
44% Hispanic
43% Asian

versus Romney 2012:

6% AA
27% Hispanic
26% Asian

How could the GOP not like Rand Paul?
Seems foolish not to give this guy a legit shot at their nomination. The more I find out about Rand Paul the more I like him. Hope he's sincere, and is willing to work with others. I'm tried of the normal politician that caters to whatever room they find themselves in.
